For the best care, we recommend hand washing your Kirana Likha pieces. If you prefer to machinewash, use a delicate cycle at 30°C (or lower). Always air dry—avoid tumble dryers, which can affect the shape and texture of the items. For added protection, wash your pieces in a laundry bag and separate them from other garments.

If there's a stain, gently apply stain remover directly to the affected area, let it sit for a few minutes, and then wash as usual.

It’s normal for the strap of your bag to stretch slightly over time, especially when carrying heavy items. When you first receive your bag, the strap may appear shorter—this is intentional, as it will lengthen slightly with use. The body of the bag, however, is lined and will maintain its shape. To minimize stretching, try not to overload your bag.

If your bag is made from polyester yarn, you can machine wash it at 30°C, which may help restore the strap’s shape if it becomes too stretched.

To keep your crochet and knitwear in top condition, we recommend storing them folded in a drawer or box. This helps prevent stretching and keeps the shape intact.

If you must hang your item briefly, use padded or non-slip hangers with rounded edges to avoid snagging. Keep your pieces away from pets, as claws can pull or damage the yarn.

Always store your items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their color and texture for years to come.

Your crochet bag is not waterproof, so it’s best to avoid using it during heavy rain. However, if it’s only a light drizzle, it won’t get wet immediately—thanks to the lining and zipper that provide extra protection for your belongings during unfriendly weather.

Pilling is a natural occurrence caused by friction, where loose fibers form small balls on the surface.

Many of our pieces are made from cotton yarn, which is soft, durable, and less prone to pilling than acrylic yarn, though some pilling may still occur with regular use. If you’ve chosen a polyester yarn piece, you’ll find it is even less likely to
pill.

To keep your items looking fresh, gently remove pills using a lint remover or fabric comb.

At Kirana Likha, we want you to enjoy our pieces for as long as possible. If your necklace breaks, we’re happy to repair it for you! You can send it to us—just cover the shipping costs both ways. If you're in The Hague, we can arrange a meet-up so you won’t need to pay for shipping. You can also simply message us—we might be able to repair it during one of our market events!

Please note that sometimes specific beads may no longer be available. In that case, we’ll suggest a suitable replacement and confirm it with you before proceeding.
